Post by zr6tg » Mon Oct 31, 2022 8:28 am

Hi All,

I'm doing some work on the Longmynd and Winterhill Clients in the coming two weeks. While I'm at it I can sort out any feature requests still outstanding. Please post your features requests/bugs in this thread:

Longmynd Client: https://www.zr6tg.co.za/longmynd-client/
Winterhill Client: https://www.zr6tg.co.za/winterhill-datv ... er-client/

Thanks for everyone who has given feedback!

Hi Tom,
I am using the Longmynd Client what an excellent program.
Would it be possible to have an audio meter to setup levels and help to confirm that you are transmitting audio without the volume turned up.
Hope to have Winterhill Client installed this week.

Hi Martin,

That is a great idea. I'll add it to the list and look into it :)

I would like to have a quicktune option in LongMynd. For example a popup where you can:

- Select antenna input
- Set frequency
- Set LO offset
- Set Symbolrate

Is it possible to make it compatible for the Knucker too?

Can you elaborate on this please, you can already set all these settings in the longmynd client ?

It looks like it should be possible. I don't have any knucker hardware yet, but I'll see if I can order some. Going onto the list :)

How? I use this especially for normal reception on 2m and 70cm.

Ah, I understand, You can change the frequency and sr quickly in the manual control group, but the offset is being seen as fixed which obviously becomes a problem on 2m/70cm. I'll add something in for that. Sorry, I need to remember its not just QO-100 :p we don't have 70cm/2m transmissions here in South Africa (yet, I need to do something about that)

Going on the list :)

Hi Tom,
I am having a problem with the Longmynd Client locking up if I try to adjust the audio level with the slider.
My PC is running Win 11 i7.
I have to use Task Manager to end the process and the restart the program.
