Hi Graham & Mike
Thanks for that information, I'll put mine in a box now.
I normally use blue tack and stick it to the shelf :)
I might even include an LED

It was 1455L1601BK - I.e. one of the Hammond 1455 series in black. It just fits width-wise with a right angled f-type to bring the output to a BNC on the back. Such plugs probably have awful RF performance but I am hoping that won't matter.

One thing I have noticed is people tend to design PCBs and then try and get cases to fit, rather than considering the case as part of the overall project. The good thing about the Hammond range is its wide availability, fairly professional appearance and tolerance of the dimensions. The down side is they are not as cheap as some others.

I've ordered my case (in silver) from Rapid via eBay for £14.90 inc P&P.

Ashley,
Mine is taking 250mA at 13.8V, including an extra LED pilot lamp on the box I have built it into. This is quiescent current with no signal being received. Also, mine is not the BATC kit, but a homebrew effort on Veroboard with a different switch mode voltage regulator.
