Sony VP-5040 Umatic Machine - GONE

Post by G6NDI » Wed Sep 03, 2014 11:54 pm

Basically one of these: http://umatic.palsite.com/vp5040spec.shtml

Very little use, it came out of the demo room at a company I worked for in 1990 and was being thrown out when we moved offices so I rescued it! Hasn't been used since, but has been carefully stored (indoors) since then. I should really have moved it on year ago, but you know how it is with these things ;)

Free to a good home, or swap for a bottle of wine if you're feeling generous.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

Hello. I've just had my VP-9000 die on me and I've still got piles of U-matics to get through digitizing! Is this still available?

Hi Phil

Can you dub a UMatic tape for me, see new forum post. Dud Charmans Aerial Circus so of some historical value, also G6CJ and G2DX reminiscing.

Hi Dave,
Yes, the machine is still available, as is the Philips pattern generator and Sony Monitor in my other ads.

I'm in Norfolk, near Thetford.

Cheers,
Mike

Sorry for the delay, I have been in Holywood looking at 3d and 4k editing etc

I live in Bristol, so could you send it? Fair price paid as required!

Just in time - I'm about to donate a whole bunch of stuff to a local hospice charity!

I can certainly send it to Bristol, but it's large and quite heavy so will likely cost a fair bit.

Which carrier would you prefer?
