Hi All
Apologies for inevitable stupid question…
I have constructed a Pico Tuner and it is working as expected with the Open Tuner software – including the LNB voltage selection options.
I would like to use the dish pointing tools in Portsdown 4 via web browser on my phone, but when I connect my Pico Tuner to the Portsdown (using a spare USB 3 connection on the Pi4) and enter RX I never leave “searching” and I cant measure a voltage on the F-connector so I don’t have by LNB power working in this configuration. The Pico Tuner is listed in the USB devices, but I’m sure it’s the LNB voltage that’s the issue.
Am I missing something simple to enable the H polarisation on the LNB or are people using external Bias-T in this configuration?
Many Thanks
Mark

Re: PortsDown 4 & Pico Tuner
Mark, Are you trying to rx using DVB-T......
If not, good, next stop on the PD4 RX menu, Config then LNB Volts..which cycles through 0ff, 18,12 etc.
I find the MER-Meter great. If you have a Pluto (or Lime Mini) I find it easier to find the NB spectrum then switch polarity and then MER-Meter the final peak. If the sat is empty that's easier, if some occupancy it will confuse your tweaking...
Good luck...
Gareth
PS, I use an external switchable 12/18V Bias-T with a 4 port active splitter so I can feed the signal to all sorts....

Hi Mark
I take it that you have selected the LNB Volts to "18 Horiz" on the Receive Config Menu?

Not exactly, as such.
Bingo - thank you both for the input.
All working now.
