Noel,
I have the equipment and have operated 146MHz DATV in previous years both portable and from home. I was hoping to participate in the next activity W/E on the 15th Nov. Perhaps in hindsight we need to have more 71 / 146 MHZ activity days.
Fingers crossed,
Dave, G4EEV.

Re: 71 and 146 MHz - Ofcom want your input NOW!
Thanks to the efforts of John G4SWX we do have access to 71 and 146 for another year but it is under close scrutiny by Ofcom and if we do not use it, it is very likely to be reallocated in future years.
John asked me to post the following:
Ofcom has agreed to the RSGB request to extend the 146/147MHz NoV for a further year.
It is available on a non-interference basis and the NoV is subject to a 30-day notice period of change or withdrawal. Ofcom’s objective in allocating this new part of the spectrum was to encourage amateurs to experiment and test new communications schemes and systems.
The RSGB VHF Manager would therefore welcome reports of innovative use of the spectrum to support future discussions via vhf.manager@rsgb.org.uk
Full licence holders can apply for the 146/147MHz NoV on the RSGB website. https://rsgb.org/nov
