HamTV Reception Reports
Re: HamTV Reception Reports
Hi Liborio
For confirmation of transmission just before the pass for you, it is worth looking at the HamTV Merger https://live.ariss.org/hamtv/
This shows the blank screen (as opposed to a holding graphic) if HamTV is received at Goonhilly in the far south-west of England. Although M0DNY and G8GKQ are listed as receiving stations, they are not yet operational, we are just testing the merger software at the moment.
In due course we will be looking for stations to contribute to the merger from all around the world.

And at 1146 UTC on Tuesday 12 August, GHY received HamTV, so it is definitely transmitting.

Thanks for the valuable tip!
Re: HamTV Reception Reports
To see if the ISS is transmitting you can look at this website.
When the rotating globe goes Black that indicates Goonhilly is receiving a signal.

Re: HamTV Reception Reports
Hello,
just for info, I monitor the ARISS HAMTV Goonhilly Ground Station Merger (Link below) which not only shows the ISS path position but also the live HAMTV downlink video received on 2395 MHz. This presently shows the Black Screen as soon as Goonhilly locks onto the ISS Signal. The C/N and RX Datarate are indicated along with the ISS Elevation at Goonhilly.

I hope this is usefull.

Re: HamTV Reception Reports
This what you see on the Goonhilly HamTV monitoring site. This was a pass at approximately 12.00 BST today, max elevation 69 degrees. The C/N peaked around 23dB and gave a very useable signal down to very low elevation.

Re: HamTV Reception Reports
Did anyone catch the 8:53 ISS pass?..
Re: HamTV Reception Reports
Not that pass, but the subsequent 2 passes have had the transmitter running. Good signals in UK today.

Re: HamTV Reception Reports
No, but I looked for the 11:06 pass ( 72 deg el) today and only got a D1 Lock.
Over the last week I've been trying different LNA's, Feeds, Downconverters all trying to improve my reception. All my tests made it worse every pass.
I've now gone back to my original setup where I was getting a D7 Mer 8.9 when it was first switched on.
Maybe blocking from the solar panels etc.
Has the Transmitter developed a fault and gone low power?
Can someone check as I'm really struggling now to see anything with a 1m dish.

Re: HamTV Reception Reports
Thanks Dave and Nick for your information.
Since I installed the 80cm dish, I've also gotten no reception (with the 60cm dish, I got D2).
The TX definitely isn't working as it should on the ISS.
