Hello Dave I was really enjoying the P4 receive capability with mintioune but since the 2020008050 update I cannot resolve any pictures from the beacon. I get good lock and MER of 10db but all of the players do not seem to resolve video any more, only sound on some. I do get video from some other stations at different SR's. Do you recommend I do a new build ? I also tried forcing the update again. John G

Hi Wolfgang (and Alain)

Thanks for prompting me on this one. I have found the problem - it hangs if there is no Pluto connected.

The fix will be in the next update but if you want to do it now, simply amend line 127 of rpidatv/scripts/scheduler.sh to read:

Code: Select all

      timeout 2 sshpass -p analog ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no root@"$PLUTOIP" 'reboot'
Sorry - my test/development rig has the Pluto permanently connected, so I did not find the problem until I took it all apart.

Hi John G8IKP

Sounds like a problem with VLC. Probably best cured by a card rebuild.

Greetings
PI 4 with Pi Camera V2 installed in a Smarti Pi Touch 2

I thought it was OK the Portsdown when first ran was UPSIDE, for us folk Down Under :) found the Invert screen all good.
The image produced by the PI camera V2 now has me sideways.
The camera mounts one way in the case curious if there is an option to Rotate the image/camera..
Thank You

A quick search would have brought you to this Forum Topic about the sideways camera: viewtopic.php?f=103&t=6747

Hi Dave, After updating to this release I have tried to get the PI-cam working but get no output from the Pluto. It still works fine for the testcard but nothing from any other source.
I also tried the dev version but that was no better.
Should I try a rebuild from scratch?
Cheers
Terry

Hi Terry

I think that the experimental Pluto code might need to have a USB audio dongle connected for the Pi Camera to work. Please let me know if you have one connected?

I can look at working round that requirement in future.

Dave
