little output power (no modulation?)
little output power (no modulation?)
Hi everybody,
I am currently upgrading my Portsdown to the 2020 version with the LimeMini I had here collecting dust. So when taking a brandnew Buster installation, a powered USB hub and upgrading the Lime to FW 1.30 and then the DVB FW, I end up with a very low (-45dBm) unmodulated output sitting on a noise pedestal.. Any ideas what I am missing?

Re: little output power (no modulation?)
And the spectrum as last image.. the signal in the middle is indeed unmodulated.

Re: little output power (no modulation?)
Hi Achim
Try setting the Audio to "Auto" rather than "Bleeps". Not sure "bleeps" work with H264.

Or try Modulation, Carrier as a starting point.

Dave,
sadly no change. Neither with Audio nor Carrier (output power even decreased but shape did not change). Probably something obvious.

Re: little output power (no modulation?)
Just one observation, you said you updated the Lime to the DVB firmware, I thought there was a special setting for that in the ‘Output to’ button.
Re: little output power (no modulation?)
Colin, you saved me a great deal of more grey hairs! That was it, thank you very much for spotting this noob error. RTFM..

Re: little output power (no modulation?)
Glad to help...
