Portsdown operating frequency

Post by 9v1hy » Thu Oct 03, 2019 12:29 pm

Hi. I'm new to DATV. I hope to get on air soon. I have a receiver working and ready to build my Portsdown. However I have a question regarding the frequency.

According to the local regulation, my choice of frequency band is really limited. 2m is the easiest choice but my local band is only 144-146 MHz. 144.2-145 MHz is quite empty so I can safely operate without interferencing. I see in UK people use 146.5 MHz for ATV. Does the Portsdown has a variable frequency or fixed frenquency?

The Portsdown 2018 will transmit on any frequency between 100 and 1500 MHz. You simply enter the numbers (as long as you have the LO filter board fitted).

The Portsdown 2019 with a LimeSDR Mini will transmit anywhere between 50 MHz and 3450 MHz. Again, simply enter the frequency.

Thanks Dave! That's really nice so I can operate without apply anything extra (which is a painful process here).

Shopping list is confirmed, will purchase once the MiniTiouner is back on stock.
