Inter board wiring

Post by M5TXJ » Tue Aug 22, 2017 8:16 am

Hi again folks, just after some confirmation on the wiring of my Portsdown which is slowly taking shape. The IQ wiring from J03 on the breakout board to J01 on the filter modulator board differs in the board markings to the interconnection diagram. IF I've got it correct, the two ends differ in that it isn't a 1 to 1 connection as in the diagram but that I and Q swap places. That is wired as per the markings on the boards.

Hi Dave,

The I-Q wiring between the breakout board and the filter modulator is 1 to 1.

Can you tell me what was confusing you? Is it the way the twisted pair wiring is shown on the interconnection diagram?

I apologise! Senior moment, as I had the plug connected to the breakout board I was reading the plug/socket ID rather than the pin ID, if you have a look, I is next to Q and vice versa!

I see what you mean on the breakout board silkscreen text.

I wish you Good Luck on the project and hope you will enjoy using it.
