Hello Guys,

I did a bad thing, I updated my rpidatv build. Now I have no Campeg2. PS AX does not show a process for the tx. I see video on the view finder.

There is no condition in which I have Audio.

I have tested 3 different systems that have been upgraded.

EasyCap does not have audio either.

My sound card is a legitimate cm108 device. The cm119 does not work either.

When I plug my Logitech C520 USB Camera into the rpidatv, ps ax does show -t 3 in the avc2tx string. But again no audio. This could be a driver issue on the webcam.

This test does tell me the detection code works.

I see my USB sound card as 'card 1' when I run arecord -t.

Is there anyone else having problems besides me?

BTW, I have swapped out the Sound Card with many different known working units so I know this is not a hardware issue

Sorry to hear that the update has caused you problems.

If you can provide me with this info, I should be able to include your devices in the next but one build - the next build is half way through release testing.

Hi Dave,

According to arecord -l my CM108 (C-Media) device and USB Capture card are already there.

But I will send it off to you.

On a side note. I have an a.sh file from May 2017 and Cam Mpeg2 has working audio from C-Media device.

On the current build, Cam Mpeg2 does not work, no video or sound.

What do we need to do to get sound on external EasyCap card in h.264 mode?

When I receive the details from you I'll look at implementing the changes to solve your specific problem. Some of the changes that I have made recently need explicit knowledge of the exact devices in use. There is some explanation in this Wiki Page: https://wiki.batc.tv/Audio_Switching .

The transport stream for H264 is generated by a bespoke application (avc2ts) that does not yet support audio; I am waiting for a stable upgraded version with audio that can be decoded by MiniTioune. The Transport stream for MPEG-2 is generated by ffmpeg which does support audio. Hence the difference. Audio with H264 is the highest thing on my priority list, but I rely on other volunteer software writers with their own priority lists.

In the meantime, have you tried replacing the a.sh in the current build with your older working version? It could be an interim solution for you.
