Hi Noel,

That's a Grundig MicroSat STR-100 receiver for analog ATV
It has Low Threshold settings, and runs from 12V!

The CAT5 port is used for the infrared remote "eye"

I use that RX also to provide the LNB voltage (19Volt out of the 12V supply)
That way I do not need a step-up converter when running 12V portable!

All very much work in progress

EDIT: finished drilling the lid! All 128 holes...
ventilation is everything!

Hi,

there are lots available from ebay. Try this link:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Radial-Electr ... fTimxGfciQ

Not used them myself but seem reasonable price.

HI malcolm,
thank you for your fast reply. The build specifies surface mount of a specific size, but it appears no one stocks then.

Hi Dave,

the 220uF 10V caps are normal radial leaded. Are you confusing them with the 22uF SMD ones? (Farnell 2112754)

according to RS the manufacturer number of those 220uF 16 Vl is: GRM31CR61C226ME15L

I found them here: http://www.tme.eu/en/katalog/#search=GR ... order=DESC

I have already used TME and found them fast, reliable and sometimes cheaper than others...

Hi all,

Sorry if I'm being a bit of a pain but I'm really struggling with this build...been working on it for days..
all the components are fitted, led is lighting up.
checking for 5.4 - 5.6v I'm getting less than 1 volt at H1 / north west pad.
getting 9.5v at north west pad and at ZD2 D2 and 8.5 at R6..not 5.4v

any advice will be gratefully received.
