Re: ISS reception with RTL-SDR
Excellent new version - now working with my non-PLL dongle (-p -10ppm according to kal) at 250ks/s and 300kHz sampling running under Debian in Virtual Box with video signal on 437.5MHz from RasPi using Evariste's 'ugly' mode. Constellation still looks rubbish but a picture emerges.
EDIT: better picture showing none-too-bad constellation.

Re: ISS reception with RTL-SDR
Leandvb is working on Raspberry Pi 2 at 250 et 500 KSymbols and after demodulation piping the transport stream to omxplayer make a complete DVB-S receiver which output video on HDMI or composite or a TFT screen attached.
I am making tests and even leandvb is at the beginning of development, it works well with litlle signals.
Wait for propagation on 70 cm to try to receive DX stations to see how it works with QSB.
Very interesting feature is that we can record HF signal (I/Q) and then demodulate offline playing with parameters to improve demodulating quality.

Mike - would be worth a go on 146.5, though I can't xmit DATV back yet. Drop me an email of a good time to try.

Re: ISS reception with RTL-SDR
Will do - of 437MHz if you prefer? Whenever - avoiding ARISS
Re: ISS reception with RTL-SDR
Hello,
FYI leandvb should now support all DVB-S code rates. Until now only FEC 1/2 was implemented.
There is also a scanning tool for cycling through symbol rates, FEC settings and frequency offsets.
