Hi Steve, Pass on the information, have not been able to keep abreast with this.

However, TODAY, I have just received the NoV email from Ofcom. NoV backdated to December 24 for some strange reason.

Will try to contact the site owner this week to establish the state of play in moving forward.

#NeedToGetAWorkingPartyTogether in due course.

Although it should be fine, if anyone is free to give the repeater TX a look over, then that would be appreciated. Plan to use the original TX for now and then add bells and RX, once it is up with a test page.

Great news Dave …yes it’s a bit strange how the NOV system works …well to me anyway

Hopefully you can get permission from site owner …and drum up some local help ….

I would probably have to /P to see it …as I’m in north Essex / Suffolk border

Not sure if your planning on having 70cms input at some point

Regards

Steve

Excellent news Dave. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to assist directly from SE Essex (no vehicle), but look forward to receiving it and giving any feedback when needed.

70cm Input is an option. The site does have a 70cm voice repeater on it but I believe I do have some cavity notch filters in the workshop, so I can tune these if needed- for the future.

As there is a 70cm voice repeater present, it may well have its own input just below 435 MHz so I think all you will need is a band pass filter to keep out the TX and other signals. The repeater TX will probably have a cavity filter on it to avoid the TX noise interfering with the RX which will do the same for your RX. A notch filter is not sufficient because of all the other signals hitting the front end of the tuner., mobile phones, TV repeater output, etc, You gain a few more dB isolation from the TX with horizontal polarisation for the DATV.
