WinterHill Receive Commander HELP

Post by G8KOE » Mon Jan 23, 2023 10:50 am

Hi,
I am using WinterHill Receive Commander to monitor my input signal to QO100 on 2409.750.
All 4 windows work OK on QO100
If I try and send the input parameters 333ks 2409.750 BOT AE SKT only window 1 or 2 will decode.
Windows 3 and 4 "search" SR333 2409.750Mhz B but never decode.

What is your WH antenna set up?

All the VLC and info screen pictures are showing only the BOT sockets in use. For QO-100, normally the 2 TOP sockets would be fed from a splitter and the 2 BOT sockets would be used for uplink monitoring and terrestrial, or vice-versa.

The local sockets may be able to pick up your uplink without anything connected, but a short piece of wire is probably worthwhile.

Hi Brian,
Top two are connected to a splitter for QO10
the RH bottom socket is connected to a small local pickup AE.

With same settings from Commander transferred to all 4 windows could only get local on 1 and 2.
I didn't expect to end up with 1 and 2 local 3 and 4 on QO100 after transferring the settings from Commander.

I expect it's me not understanding how it works.

You'll also need a pickup antenna on the BOT socket of the other NIM (NIM_B) if you want the capability to see your uplink on any of the 4 receivers.

For QO-100, I would suggest having a pickup only on NIM_B (left, looking into the sockets) and configuring only RX4 for uplink in whpcviewer.

That way, when you want to view your uplink for a while, you can configure QuickTune to use only 3 receivers and use RX4 for your uplink.

You are using H265, not supported on the two bottom receivers.

That is the case when viewing on a monitor connected to the WH RPi, but there is no restriction for H.265 when using the WH as a hub and viewing on a PC.
