e2soft VSC proplems
e2soft VSC proplems
Regarding e2soft VSC and TT-1600 original Ham TV build. I am struggling to 1, understand how to get it working and 2 if it is really needed. I have move on to OBS for broadcasting so do I need it for Ham TV receive and if so, I just can't figure out how to get it running on my windows 11 system. Call me stupid, I am beyond the pride mode of this whole thing and really have hit the proverbial wall. Help, kb3pmr@gmail.com, Please don't refer me to the general references .... I just don't get it. I need, step 1, step 2, step 3. Thank you in advance.

Hi
I think that you are very unlikely to get a TT1600 card working on Windows 11.
Your best bet would be to build a MiniTiouner or PicoTuner which is compatible with Windows 11 and then use the OpenTuner receive software.
It's all explained here: https://wiki.batc.org.uk/HAMTV_from_the_ISS

Re: e2soft VSC proplems
I am not sure I want to move forward at this time. I am doing ok with rebooting in support mode and starting without driver check to get the TT-1600 drivers running, and all runs well under those conditions. Tho, it is a pain. Feel like I'm being pushed into a forced upgrade, you know, like Windors. So, if someone could be so kind it would be appreciated. Can't understand the hard sell, must be a real nice commission. Sorry for the sarcasm, these cards have no need to be held that close to the chest. Bob
Re: e2soft VSC proplems
If it is the ham tv from the ISS you are trying to RX, it seems a TV satellite RX may be a way to do it without the computer. The computer card you are trying to use is an old one now and you could use an old computer with it, but at the end of the day that system seems to be a satellite RX. The TV satellite RX will need a high gain preamp and will not display any duff frames but is simple to use once the settings are sorted. If you get one with an in and out aerial feed, you can pass the RX signal on to your TT1600 card or other RX. I use a TV satellite box to RX the local DATV repeater but also feed the signal via a splitter, on to various other receivers. The inline preamps before the TV satellite RX being powered from the TV satellite box input.

What you are asking for is drivers for a peripheral card; only the manufacturer of the card is likely to have the proprietary information needed to make that card work with Windows 11.
There is no 'holding of cards close to the chest' involved. It's purely a commercial decision by the manufacturer of the card to not waste money on developing Windows 11 drivers for an obsolete card using an obsolete PCI interface that might benefit one user.
