Big question,
I was wondering if the Knucker board is designed to only work with Portsdown4.
Could it work independently?
Knucker board autonomous operation
Re: Knucker board autonomous operation
It can, it just needs software to support it. Because of the NDA, that's not going to be source code. However, there is no possibility of autonomous operation as it doesn't contain the required processors. It will need a computer of some sort. The Ryde is probably the way to go.

Thanks for the reply Mike.
Is there a receiver on the market with similar characteristics to the Knucher (SR under 1000K)?

Re: Knucker board autonomous operation
I'm fairly sure that the answer to that is no....probably why the Knucker was designed and built. I have used it at 150kS no problem, either with PD4 or with a Ryde which can be customised to do pretty much what you want on start-up. Have a look at the Wiki for it here...https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Ryde_Receiver
I think there is a video possibly from CAT22 that tells you about modifying the config file to suit.
Or post your aims on here and see if anyone could help.
