USB Extender
Hi and Happy New Year
If you have a requirement to be able to control USB devices up to 50M distance I have been using the OREI USB-EX165-KUSB 2 Extender.
No divers or installation are required, just plug the PC end into a USB port and connect the remote end using Cat 5/6 cable this is a direct cable and not through any IP network/switch. The remote end requires a mains supply for the plug power supply, once done you now have two USB ports available.
I have been using this device to be able to use my Lime SDR unit and also my Pico Tuner without issue.
These units the normal cost around £60.00 but they are available brand new from
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... k&_sacat=0
And are listed at £3.99
I have not connection with either the seller or OREI other than a satisfied customer.
I hope this information may be of use to someone.

Re: USB Extender
The cheap ones sold out, there were 20+ left from the seller when I bought mine. Hopefully lots are now winging their way to BATC members

I agree with Gareth. Good spot and mine works fine!
Latest version can be bought for around £550 but is USB3!!
So 2 for £10 not bad....

Re: USB Extender
Thanks for the link Keith, mine arrived yesterday and a cursory test shows it works as expected. Very kind of you to point us in that direction.
Best regards,

It was a lot more fun being 20 in the 70's than being 70 in the 20's
