Drilled Metal bar

Hi All

I'm looking for some drilled flat metal bar 5/10/15 mm, a bit like mecanno, circled in blue. I belive Dave G8GKQ has used what I'm looking for in a few of his past projects.... I've attached a pic

Also how does one email indivuial members ??

Looks like DIN mounting rail but with square rather than rectangular holes. Or maybe some form of server rack mounting strip? If you get 90 degree server rack strip any metal working shop should be able to guillotine off flat sections.

Standard stuff, e.g. used in VERO or SCHROF rack cases. Best thing to do is look around at a Rally. I saw quite a few at Newbury, probably also McMichael tomorrow if you are local. If not I expect there are local rallies. https://rsgb.org/main/news/rallies/ and of course Finningly next weekend would be a good place to look if you are local to that.

Hi Kevin

This was a surplus Vero enclosure that I bought at a Rally. I gutted it and repurposed it to house the "Jetson Nanobox".

As Mike says, look out for similar at rallies and surplus sales.
