July Activity Weekend & VHF Field Day.
Re: July Activity Weekend & VHF Field Day.
Ok i'll be out Sunday with 4m at first.
Will have 6m too with more power but I cant put both antennas up at once.
Should only be 10min to swap though.
I'll only have 2m vertical (poss HB9CV horizontal) as i cant fit all the yagi's on the van roof safely!
I'll be on Zello/Dxspot as usual

Re: July Activity Weekend & VHF Field Day.
Vile weather here today (April showers - over an inch since yesterday! and windy) Rob so I'm not putting up 2m on the pump-up today. I will be using the 4m beam tomorrow though, say when you plan to be active from and I'll make sure I'm ready to go.

Hi all,
Yesterday myself and Joan 2E0HIZ were invited to tag along with the Thames Amateur Radio Group (TARG) at Slough Fort, Allhallows, Kent (JO01hl). Original intention was to operate TV and NB via QO-100, but in the end deferred to NB only due to the inclement weather, which was very windy with dark threatening clouds! Managed a number of contacts before the serious rain started and a rapid system disassembly followed. Great location though, overlooking the Thames northwards and a return visit envisaged.

we must have been lucky on Saturday. Left Birmingham at 0812 behind Clun Castle returned from scarborough to Birmingham at 2154 and didnt see a single rain drop. Even had time on the beach at Scarborough!
