Two LNB power modules.
Two LNB power modules.
Does anyone make use of both LNB power modules? I'm thinking of future designs.

Re: Two LNB power modules.
I am not entirely sure what modules you are referring to Brian, but my Minitiouner is in the house on a wired LAN and the LNB power sources are outside at the dish with the Pluto and PA.
I use two BATC power module boards to power the 4 port GPS locked LNB so I can watch the broadband channel at the same time as listening to SSB on the narrowband channel.
I suspect you mean the LNB power sources WITHIN the Minitiouner NIM or whatever it's called though, which in my case are not activated?

Re: Two LNB power modules.
Thanks. I was thinking about the 2 LNB power boards inside the WH.
I should also have asked if anyone uses the current limited 12v output.

Gosh, I am surprised you have not burnt out the RFC in the tuner. They seem very fragile. Perhaps the preamp takes less current than mine does as most of it is for the coaxial relays. It shows the protection works.G1LPS Terry wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 3:19 pmI use both in mine Brian.

Thanks Terry. Do you have the second PSU set to 13v?
