WinterHill install issue

Post by F1CJN_alain » Mon Apr 24, 2023 4:21 pm

I tried with the last version of the RPI OS using Raspberry Pi Imager (declaring country, SSH , Wifi ...) and with two different micro SD cards.
And I got twice this message at the end of the procedure:
------------------------------------------
---- Building spi driver for install -----
------------------------------------------
make -C /lib/modules/5.15.84-v7l+/build/ M=/home/pi/winterhill/whsource-3v20/whdriver-3v20 modules
make[1]: *** /lib/modules/5.15.84-v7l+/build/: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [Makefile:4: all] Error 2
------------------------------------------
- Failed to build the WinterHill Driver --
------------------------------------------
Any idea ?

The WH driver build is very specific to the revision of Linux in use, but it should be self-adjusting. It seems that it did not find the specific files. I will try a new build here.

Can you do:

uname -mrsa

and post the results.

Thanks. Your version is 5.15. Have you downloaded Bullseye? It needs to be this Buster version 5.10:

Raspberry Pi OS (Legacy) with desktop
Release date: February 21st 2023
System: 32-bit
Kernel version: 5.10
Debian version: 10 (buster)

Hi Brian

I downloaded the Buster and everything runs ok.
It is now a pleasure to watch the A71A 1500k video signal on the screen

I have a little more to do on the receiver (MIC input regulator, LNB voltage circuits, second tuner). Components and printed circuits are on the way to home.
Thanks a lot

Very good. I hope that you can find all the components.
