Dave, its about 100 miles between us, do you have any portable 5.8 DATV stuff? I've yet to try mine beyond the shack. 1kW ERP available. If yes, I'll load up with my tripod and spirit level along with my 2m gear.

I will be out portable at Dorstone IO82LB on Sunday only, with 2m and 70cm DATV.

I am also taking 8W of 5665MHz FMTV mainly to give the Telford groups a LOS signal

Talkback on Zello and 144.75 MHz (yes Noel and Dave I have realigned the IC706MKIIG FM generator, our local 2m repeater likes it!)

David M0YDH, I'd be interested in trying 5.6GHz FM ATV on Sunday. I'm in Swindon SN1 3QA. I have a couple of Watts to a 23dBi panel antenna. Path
to Brown Clee Hill seems clear from my home, or I can go to local high spot Barbury Castle 262m asl.

Darren - if I was you I would make the trip over to either Birdlip or Cleeve Common - that way you'll be sure to work David M0YDH and maybe Dave G4FRE which from experience on 5.6GHz I'm not sure you will from Swindon or Barbury.

OK - seems nobody is able to be out on Saturday so I won't set up from up here this trip. Maybe next time.

Hi Gareth and Darren

I will take my 5.6 GHz gear on Sunday, so will have 146, 437 and 5.6 GHz FM (and 5.76 GHz DATV). About 8W to a 60cm dish on 5.6.

Happily I am going to Brown Clee Hill tomorrow. after a rocky week repairing the transmitter, I'm all packed and ready to meet Martyn G3UKV at the access gate. I look forward to talking with as many of you as possible. Martyn is the most interested I 6cm FM ATV.

That's good news David. I will be at Mere IO81UC (where I worked you from in the June contest) with 146, 437 and 5.6 GHz FM.

My talkback will be on 144.75 MHz FM or Zello. It will be good to be able to try 5.6 GHz FM with Martyn G3UKV, Dave G4FRE, Gareth G4XAT and perhaps Darren G1ERM.

I'll also be looking for Malcolm G0UHY and members of the the Bristol Group. Should all be possible.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not able to get out to Birdlip or Cleeve Common today. But I'll listen on 144.750 FM and see if I can hear you there first.

I could only manage to get on air late Sunday afternoon but had two excellent contacts on 70cms.

A few days ago I had a senior moment when luffing my aerial mast, I forgot to fit the all important pin in the mast and the inner section shot out and smashed all the aerials . A lot of patching up of the aerials required before the weekend contest but all worth while.
