Sound in Portsdown
Sound in Portsdown
hello.
I have been using Portsdown on broadcasting and reception for some time with satisfaction.
On the transmission everything is okay, but on the reception on Q100 with the Minitiouner Pro, I get the images of the Q100 don't have the sound.
Jack raspberry's sound is ticked and the BF amplifier test is okay.
I use the latest version of Portsdown BATC.
I don't understand why the sound doesn't work.
If any idea, I'm interested.
Thank you

Re: Sound in Portsdown
Hi Patrick
So the problem is receiving sound from other stations using the receiver in the Portsdown?
What devices do you have plugged into the USB sockets on the Raspberry Pi?

Re: Sound in Portsdown
Hello, Dave.
Thanks for the answer.
On my raspberry, USB ports are occupied respectively by
The Lime mini SDR, the Easyap, the Miniiouner pro and a free exit.
The program is the last downloaded to the BATC site.
The exit is the one by the Jack out sound of the raspberry
It's followed by a small integrated BF amp that only works perfectly.
Obviously, with the raspberry sound exit on oscilloscope does not show a signal.
I get all the TO100 emissions without a problem on video, but I don't have sound on every reception.
I tested the sound exit through the USB exit with a card of its USB, the ticked USB exit and it's the same thing.
With this configuration, I had the sound on Jack Raspberry before.
I must make a mistake, but which, hi.
The reception by the Miniiouner connected to the PC is okay for sound.
Thank you for your answer.

Re: Sound in Portsdown
Hi Patrick
What is the video from? Before the problem?
Please confirm that you are eslecting "OMX Player". There is no sound from "Simple H264" (that's why it is simple).
If that does not work, please "Force an Update". So Menu 3, "Check for Update" and then "Force Update".
If that does not work, please go to Menu 3, select "System Config" and then select "Restore Factory". You will need to re-enter your callsign and any other details that you have changed, but it should make sure that you have the right settings for the receiver.
Hope that helps
