First failure of the day was at switch on. Accidentally put RF through the 23CM preamp on the mast.
Despite that it was back to back contacts until I decided to drop the tower over and fix the preamp.
Tower back up and just time to put a call out for a test before bed. Glad to say all was well and was rewarded with best DX for me on the contest. G7AVU Bob at 152km. Most pleasing contact was with G3KJX/P on 5665mhz superb signal first time he had taken the equipment out.
Worked all bands 70cm to 1.2cm with M0DTS/P on the Sunday. 22 contacts in total great activity level not a spare moment, Thanks everyone
I only worked a total of 8 stations but several of those on multiple bands - highlights including working G8GKQ on both days on all bands from 146MHz to 24GHz and working Neil G4LDR on 76GHz.
More activity down south would have been good but overall a good weekend - just got to put the entry in to firstname.lastname@example.org
73's Noel - G8GTZ
The UK submitted more entries than any other country and we were well-placed in the results, gaining first place in 3 of the bands with Rob M0DTS coming 5th overall. Well done to all!
