Sadly, the Christmas tapes these days aren't a patch on what they used to be. Do you remember the ones with Michael Crawford in his "Colour Bars" Christmas jumper and Pan's People dancing through VT in Television Centre?

Re: Humor BBC News Christmas tape
The ITV companies and some facility houses (Molinaire etc) used to produce a Xmas tape every year (I was in the ITN one once) that were judged by the previous year's winner.

Re: Humor BBC News Christmas tape
Hi everyone
Well the Ex BBC tapes were great and when I worked in VT were the point of pressure from the management, as personal tapes (the ones with the good bits on) were banned big time! Chris Wadsworth was one of the great collectors and may still remember me as a bicycle repair man, although left shortly afterwords to work for Quantel. I still have a couple of copies, although at 40 ish years old may not be the most reliable to play, asnd finding the machines is s bit tricky.
