Introductory Post

Post by Bigglez » Tue Sep 09, 2008 4:38 pm

Greetings Everyone,

The title is deliberately misleading - but now that I have your attention
may I encourage you to post an introductory message about yourself?

As the newest member here I see we have over one thousand (members)
with accounts, but only fifty-eight of us have posted at least one
message.

Posting is easy. Forums are informal. Spelling, Grammar, and
Style are all secondary to communication. Please tell us about
yourself, even if you think we already know you.

This forum is built on the phpBB framework - the user controls
and layout have been modified for the BATC but the basic operation
should be familiar to anyone active on similar forums through
the internet. It's really very easy to use. Just type and post!

Need a hint? Try these: Where are you located? Are you actively on the
air? Member of the BATC? Are you a constructor, a collector, or just
here for the beer?

Lets collectively inflate the message counter and make this place
a compelling destination whenever you're sitting at your computer.

I have posted before, but just in case any of this is helpful or useful to anyone, here are my ATV interests so far.

Location: Bolsover (IO93if)
ATV Bands active: 23cm analogue
ATV Bands planned: 13cm analogue, 70cm analogue
Gear mostly kits with cameras, TV monitors etc., scrounged or bought off eBay.
I'm a cyber member of BATC.

I enjoy building kits and modifying commercial gear, but am not very good at designing things. I did hope to be able to go out and operate portable, but work got in the way of building the antennas.
