Due to last minute transmitter problems, it looks like we'll be receive only on 23cm from IO83LC, Hope Mountain, near Wrexham.

All the activity must have been to the east of the Pennines.

We (GW6NOI/P) managed to obtain a 23cm transmitter at the last minute and after a couple of hours of getting over dodgy connectors, bits we'd forgotton and an uncooperative receiver, we were ready to go.

We saw G1LWX in Wigan through GB3UD (Stoke) and worked him on simplex. We could barely hear GD1HIA on 2m and didn't receive any video. We spoke to M0ATV and said we would try later when he arrived home. We failed to exchange video with G4WUA. We decided to dismantle the station at 6pm - we hadn't planned on doing the Sunday anyway.

That was the lot. Despite calling CQ on 2m, calling CQ on video through GB3UD and leaving mesages on the stream chats, we didn't see or hear anyone else. The site wasn't the best, with a few nearby bumps, but considering the number of people we know personally who are equipped, it was surprising.

Still, we had our first ever portable video QSO. We'll be back.
