Hi Antoon
I wonder why you use the resolution 640 x 480. The PAL composite output is capable of accepting 720x576.

Hi Dick,

What would be the advantage ? PAL has only 625 lines, or do I miss something ?

There are 625 li8nes yes but normally only 576 are used. 720 pixels is the horizontal resolution. Using 720 x 576 allows the highest resolution that can be reasonably converted to composite video and gives the best possible results with test cards which use the full display area. On some televisions this will not all be visible.
Note that 480 vertical pixels will not fill all the active lines unless upconverted to 576 lines and this intruduces loss.

Hi Dick,

You're right :D , I mixed the X (640) with the number of lines (625) !

I'll correct it !
