Had similar issues here, hitting the telegraph pole with a sledgehammer cured the problem temporarily but OR wouldn't climb it. One: Needs traffic lights as the ladder would be within X meters of a road. Two : Pole shares its usage with mains supplies, needs fibreglass ladders and specially trained "operators". Three : Needs clearance from God knows how many people. Went on like that for three months. Zen Internet were great but couldn't cajole Open Reach to do what was needed.

Neighbours shared the problems. A careless tractor driver caught the pole with a trailer and it was left smashed and leaning precariously so they were out and rewired it within 8 hours. God bless that farmer "whoever he may be" ;)
