Reducing image size did the trick; with 950X540 25 fps still works.

Good - but it will probably be blocky in moving images. Reduce it some more if that happens.

A well specced PC Clive but you can get away with a lot less.
GB3EN is using a 4th gen I7 16gb RAM with a 3gb GTX1060 graphics card produces 1000kSy/s H265 full HD, 1920x1080, 25fps from OBS all day long, it uses DATV-Not-So-Easy for the encoding which seems to be less processor intensive than DATV Easy, its command line only so no GUI.
The GTX1060 is only running at about 15% usage, a GTX1050TI will also work and doesn't need an extra power connection (its solely powered through the PCI-E bus) . The PC is running at about 50% usage and an I5 would not cope, the 8 cores of the I7 makes a big difference to the I5's 4 cores.
