Hi.
I've been checking over data usage of GB3FT as it's going to be connected to the web via a 4G modem.
Interestingly the BATC controller running on a RPI seems to be consistently sending data to the web at about 34kbits second and recieving at about 4k - this is according to the 4G modem management page.
Any idea what it's doing ?
Just curious.

Re: BATC repeater controller internet traffic
Interestingly - just checked data usage again for the Ryde and it's gone quiet.
Maybe there was some sort of rpi related update going on in the background?
I'll keep an eye on it to see if it happens again.

Re: BATC repeater controller internet traffic
Hi Tim
I had been giving this some thought (without arriving at a solution), but now I'm confused.
Is it the Ryde or the Respeater Controller that is causing the problem? Or is it one of the 2 and you're not sure?
They use different operating system versions, so it would be useful to know.

Re: BATC repeater controller internet traffic
Sorry for not being clear.
I initially saw the issue on the controller but today all seems ok, but I did notice similar up / down data transfers with the Ryde which have also now stopped.
I can only think it's OS related some how - in the grand scheme of things not a big problem, just me being curious and trying to understand what's going on in the background.
The 4G modem has diagnostics which shows which device is using what data etc. The MQTT clients were as expected but the RPI's seemed to be doing something in the background.
