CAT 25 Test and Fix-it

Post by G8GKQ » Thu Jul 31, 2025 8:05 am

As usual Clive, Lyndon and I will be running a test and fix-it bench at CAT 25.

I plan to bring equipment for:

Spectrum Analysis 50 MHz - 25 GHz
Power Measurement 50 MHz - 10 GHz, 1 mW - 150 W
Receievr Noise Figure indication 50 MHz - 25 GHz
Filter Alignment 50 MHz - 10 GHz
DVB-S/S2 transmission and reception

It would help if potential "customers" were able to give us advance notice (by posting here) of anything that they are bringing for test and fix-it.

Please bring your own mains/battery power supplies and RF adapters. The test equipement uses N-Type or SMA.

Hi Dave,
I would like to test the NF of a PGA-103+ pre-amp at 23cms please. It has female SMA connectors. I'll bring a battery.
Also, I have just built a W1GHZ directional coupler and it would be nice to know the exact coupling at 2m, 70 cms and 23 cms. The main line has female N connectors and the coupled line has female SMA connectors.
On that basis, do I need to bring any adapters/leads, please?
Many thanks,
Russ, G4SAQ

Hi Russ

Interesting tests. I'll have adapters to cover all of that.
