portsdown 4
Hello To every one.
I have build the portsdown 4 and it is working ok,and i am using the composite to usb converter that i bought from the BATC shop but the picture is not very good as i am connecting my PC HDMI to an HDMI to composite converter and then i an connecting the composite to usb for the portsdown 4.
My quetion is is there any HDMI to USB that can work with the portsdown 4 that i can buy to connected from the PC to USB for the portsdown 4 please.

Re: portsdown 4
If you use PC to generate the picture why not send it over IP and use TS-IP function in stead of the camera option..
Quality will improve fast..

Re: portsdown 4
If you are using a PC it would be far better to encode on that PC and use the IPTS facility as Benno indicated. No need to go via HDMI and potentially the option to use H265 rather than H264. It does require a network connection but most PCs have that and if they don't a USB dongle will do the job.joefran7300 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 01, 2025 12:29 pmHello To every one.

Check the data rates of your video and audio. Sometimes too much data can cause problems!

Hi Joe (nocallsign?)
I use free streamcoder which is set up on the PC running OBS
All the hard work has been done for you in this utility.
Start OBS
Then start Free stram coder
If you have got the PD4 IP correct you can then monitor this on the PD4 screen

Hi joe
9H1GT
Nice thermionic collection
I sent you an email to help you on your way.
In my experience streaming OBS over a network with decent quality is quite processor intensive and may be why you are having problems.
Running this French utility F1EJP takes credit hopefully will show you if your hardware is up to the job
