They're probably used to it by now. Animals too - I've had cats and pigeons sit there motionless for hours on the shed in next door's garden, watching me play with the dishes.

I see that the satellite-calculations site above has acquired a login since I mentioned it. Perhaps they were spooked by a sudden flurry of activity.

It was foggy here so no opportunity. Last time I tested I saw about 10 dB increase in the noise floor.

I can't believe anyone would use an unpainted aluminium dish as it will be just like playing with a magnifying glass and paper at school. I am surprised an LNB got melted with a painted dish though. Unless it was painted with a metallic paint.
