I would help a lot if you could post what you see on the pluto web page as an image.

To helpout John i decided to get in direct contact and today i took over his PC and tried some...
No luck sofar.

Aparently we are able to connect the pluto in dfu mode and install 0.31 or 0.34 onto the pluto.
But connecting via usb in normal mode does not give a magic bonig. Not able to find it in de disks nor network devices..
2 Different drivers installed whitch looked normal..
On a win 11 home pc and a win7 notebook.
But conncting on the network it can be found on jumping adresses.. (apparently in dhcp mode...)
It has the just in dfu mode installed firmware.

I can putty into the pluto via the network and add or change the modes...
Even did a flash clean and usb mode change..
But when connecting the pluto via USB to create a netowrk device and/or pluto folder does simply not work...

Zadig cannot find it as a device witch tell me that the pluto did not create the USB client device settings...
Despite it is working the network activity in server mode.

Thinking about this... The centre pin of the usb connector is the hardware switch witch makes the pluto usb chip to set it in usb client or usb server mode...
So a good look into the usb plug of the pluto might be a good idea...

Any other ideas?

Benno

It doesn't sound good Benno, I wonder if there has been a failure in the flash if it is going back to DFU mode?
