Re: Pluto+
Hi Charles,
Watching and waiting here, priority is getting QRV on QO-100 at present but it definitely looks interesting, especially with ethernet.

...are you sure I can't use a pair of 813's?...
Re: Pluto+
It is an option as a replacement for the Pluto and the extra bandwidth is helpful. So far I have used it with DATV-Express and SDR-Console
without any problems. It would need a slight code change to use both channels simultaneously, though.

Re: Pluto+
Hi Charles,
Been looking with interest at Pluto+.
I like the fact no need to try and solder new TCXO.
Small soldering jobs are more of a challenge as I get older.
Is there any overheating problem with enclosed case?
I use the F5OEO Firmware v0201 with IS0GRB Patch v2.0 do you think this will still work on Pluto+.
My programing skills are very limited so look with interest of those that can.

Re: Pluto+
Hello Martin,
I can't really answer your questions, but Evariste was given a Pluto+ I think, so he is the best person to ask.
I have not noticed any issues with overheating, but you could always ask the guy that designed the Pluto+
his Twitter account is https://twitter.com/fei666888
The Pluto+ also has an opto coupled PTT line which is hooked to GPIO0.

Re: Pluto+
You don't have to use Twitter to monitor what is going on. Not looking at social media tends to mean these days that you are quite isolated with respect to getting information. Then to miss out on the bargains, but perhaps that's a good thing looking at everyones overloaded shelves and crowded worksurfaces.

I don't need to monitor Twitter just need answer to my questions.
Unless you have the answer Mike.
Bargains are not always bargains.
You can end up with a shelf of unused projects.

Re: Pluto+
Strange, a simple question but a lot of different anwers ..
Well i do know a few who have a pluto +. Including myselfes..
Evariste has got a free unit but has made no firmware jet or atleast published some thing..
The developper of the pluto + has moved on and not support this unit.
There is a chinese guy who is updating the firmware but has no Ham DATV knolledge and is trying to reachout to Evariste for the code...
Updating the Pluto to Analog 0.33 is no problem but updating to dvb firmware will loose the gigabyte connection..
The onboard PTT is not supported by any firmware by my knolledge..
So yes, a nice piece off hardware witch is worthless without the right firmware...
But still i have good hope for the future..
