Re: Starting out
Well done Mark
Do you have any idea why it failed before? it would be good to know.
SD Card builds are normally about 99% reliable. I have done hundreds (literally) and the only failures have been due to internet dropouts and GitHub downtime. I know that poor power supplies or USB supply cables can also cause issues. Also SD Card type is important - hence the recommendation for SANDISK Ultra cards.

Re: Starting out
Can’t answer that. I was probably in the 1%?
Appreciate your help and suggestions.
My next question is video source......
I not a big videophile so for me a webcam would be my first choice of input.
Is there a specific model or what are the criteria for webcam suitability.

Re: Starting out
Lots of information on both the wiki and forums posts on this one - try this page to start with https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Webcam_Support
Also this thread has some answers: viewtopic.php?f=103&t=6702
The search facility on the forum is not the best but if you type something like "BATC forum webcam" in to Google you will get all the info you need without using up more of Dave's time which is better spent writing code!
