HOW DO YOU GET TO STREAM/

Post by G4uvz » Sun Aug 25, 2019 7:58 pm

Sunday Night, so I thought that I would watch the KLB show on GB3SQ

Tried the big Blue E, Firefox and Google Chrome ...I am told I need the Adobe flash player ...downloaded and restarted PC ...only change Firefox instead of showing a grey noise screen I now get a black screen ..but no video ...Blue E and Chrome ...exactly the same ...Why is IT so difficult???

Hopefully this makes it clear in Chrome. Click, allow, reload.

I am using Adobe Flash Player with Firefox on a Win10 Laptop.
On the Screenshot (15) picture, there is a Flash Player Plugin symbol left side of the 'Padlock'
Click on the Flash Plugin symbol, a box should appear asking 'should Adobe Flash Player be enabled for this Web Site?'
Click on 'allow' or 'enable', the Flash Plugin symbol should turn Black and you should get a Picture when GB3SQ is active.
Sometimes it takes up to 30 seconds before Colin appears, hopes this works for you.

No further forward I am afraid see attached Mike I get a lock symbol in Chrome and then the drop down as you see ...and flash is allowed?

In Firefox I get the screen as in my second screen shot.

I have downloaded Adobe Flash ...I think ? How can I tell if it is working maybe on another site?

I am not a computer expert ..as is apparent but why doesn't the steamer work with standard Windows player? like Youtube etc etc

Looking back at other posts on Streaming it looks like Adobe Flash is almost at the end of it's life ...so I guess some IT expert will come up with a better solution...until then I will have to miss the Sunday Night BATC show!

How about asking Colin if he can switch his stream to HTML5 mode, works in some browsers without a plugin.

Or whether he can acquire and run a second stream using HTML5.

Thanks for the idea..I see Colin via GB3SQ so I guess that it is SQ that needs to change?

Yes correct.
Colin has the above control panel in his BATC streaming account; you can see the option for HTML 5.
