5.6GHz Demo - Weds 14 Auust

Post by M0KPW » Tue Aug 13, 2019 10:28 am

Hi all,

This is a long shot due to the location, but don't suppose anyone has LOS to IO84IC for 5.6Ghz do they ?
It's Walney Island (South Cumbria) - so right down at sea level.

We're having a club portable meeting tomorrow night and I was hoping to show 5.6GHz ATV to some of our newer members (we have done this previously but from a better location).

It would be around 19.00 / 19.30 tomorrow (Weds 14 Aug)
If anyone thinks they have clear path and is available please let me know.

There should be a couple of north Wirral stations out on an elevated site. It's far from a LOS path, but we did work you from sea level at this end a year or so ago.

Ok great Brian.
It’s a slightly difference sea location than the one last year. It’s a couple of miles along but should be ok.

Will be trying the new portable kit so will be an interesting test.

I should get to site around 7pm.
Shall we use 2m for talkback ?

Yes 750 for talkback. I won't be out myself, so I'll pass that on. Shall I give them your phone number?
