Thanks for the organising and hosting of this event, fantastic setup and near local at a cheapo 30 minute flight from Belfast
Was great to meet people I’ve been speaking to and seeing the past while as well as others hopefully will be seeing soon!

I’d just like to echo those comments - a great day! And great to meet people face to face for a change
(Although I have to say that my journey there/back was less exciting, being an hour and a bit’s drive.)
Many thanks to the team at Wirral, and to Noel and Dave for putting this together.
Good luck to the teams out on Winter Hill and Brown Clee today - it looks like you’ll get a nice day for it, too.

I too would like to add a BIG thanks for a super weekend. Team Wirral sure know how to put on a good show, enjoyed it greatly, thank you.
Sunday at Horrocks Wood, IO83SO46 went really well on 24GHz, working both Noel G8GTZ/P and Dave G4FRE/P on Brown Clee IO82QL84 over a distance of 126kM. Two MiniTioune screen grabs attached.

Thanks also from me and John G3PHA, to all the BATC team and to the Wirral ARS for their splendid hospitality in hosting the event.
And congratulations to all those who came over to Horrocks Wood yesterday and made the contacts on 6cm and 24GHz.
As you can see from the picture, "Winter Hill" certainly wasn't living up to its name:

Good to hear that the day went well for the teams on WH and Brown Clee - I'm now even more disappointed that I wasn't there, lol.
73 from an equally sunny Forres (although I'm trying to keep out of the sun as I got my head sunburned on Saturday from standing outside yakking to Noel and others about land rovers and pneumatic masts...)

Previously posted in Contest and activity thread:
Folllowing the successful day at Kittens 19 on the Wirral, the Telford group including M0MHO, G7ACD, G4FRE, G8AQA, Dave G8VZT and G8GTZ were active from Brown Clee near Bridgenorth in IO82QL and G3NWR including G4CBW went to Winter Hill - Horrocks Wood car park at IO83SO46GX - a distance of 126.6Kms
G3NWR were P5 on 5.6Ghz and several successful QSO's were made between the 2 sites including Heather M0MHO acheived her first ATV QSO. M0PNN was then worked at a distance of 65Kms (didn't get the QRA) on 5665 MHz.
G8GTZ/G4FRE then worked G4CBW on 24GHz - this set a new world record for 24GHz DATV at a distance of 126.6Kms Signals wer 15 > 18 MER at both ends so there was plenty in hand.
By then M0YDH had returned to Wolverhampton and we aceheived David's first ever 2 way ATV QSO over a distance of ~ 30Kms - a great effort after a lot of hard work and perseverance - well done David!
A great day out and good practice for the contest in 3 weeks time.
Noel - G8GTZ

Re: Kittens 19 (North West) Saturday 11th May 2019
The members of Wirral ARS would like to thank all those who made Kittens 19 event at club room a great success. the day went very well and some have come away with Knowledge In Television Technical Engineering Needed Systems.
Since Saturday, we have now mounted the 2.4 meter dish on to its rotating bearings which will help aligning to the satellites.
Thanks to the feed back we have received, we can put this towards the format for our next one.
The Sunday outing to the distance hills went well, pictures elsewhere, for an outing even the sun shone.
