I am planning to go out portable, if I manage to build some antennas for 23/13cm and can get a 12V DC TV receiver that has video input in time.
Not sure where I will go, but I'll have a think about this over the weekend.

Rob,
432 MHz antenna now refurbished and ready to go for contest.
We also will be giving away points for the 144MHz backpacker contest as well, it should be a busy day!
All we need is the WX, how do we arrange that?
Regards,
Eddie

That's very kind of you Terry,
Are you sure there's enough to go round?

Hi, i shall be around for the entire contest, not entering, but giving points away!...unfortunatly it will take a miracle to get a signal to ny moors. due to my poor location on west pennine moors. 600' up....hills rise to 1750' within 2 miles...great to south, and all points through to north, ..sw superb....so if anyone wants points on 23, or rx on 13cm point towards io83xm.....thanks john g0pvr GOOD LUCK!

Nice to hear some replies...
John, maybe qso via aircraft reflection who knows.!! used to get it strong on YT before it went off....
We're going to try some 23cm Narrowband after the contest if anyone interested in that also.
Hoping for a few ATV Contacts as the last outing was not too productive....... but great fun

Re: 7/8 June - BATC Summer Fun Contest
I planned to be out this weekend with 100W Digital TV on 70cm with 46element J beam and 3cm analogue, I will try two sites Portsdown Hill for Saturday afternoon and Walbury Hill for Sunday.
I can normally work NY Moors from Portsdown on SSB on 3cm but Walbury will be a better bet for both bands.
70cm DATV will be 2MS/s.
2mtr talkback with 25W to 5element.
Contact info and Locator info to follow G3pyb Hampshire

Re: 7/8 June - BATC Summer Fun Contest
Looks like my plans for this weekend are scuppered.
My partner has invited one of her friends, who apparently is going through a bad patch, as a house guest this weekend. That means that I probably wont be able to escape to a hill, especially as I was planning to finish off boxing the PA today and I now have to clear the spare bedroom. In addition, as the spare bedroom is also my shack, I doubt if I will even be able to be on from home...
