Advice about a company

Post by Bob » Thu Nov 08, 2018 11:35 am

Has anyone recently had any dealing with the company called 13cm.co.uk
I ordered some 23cm atv equipment and cannot get any replies by phone or email, I'm beginning to suspect a scam.
Thanks Bob G4BGQ

Hi Bob,

I don't think a scam, more a dead company and the site hasn't been taken down. I've looked at it several times in the past and nothing has ever changed. I may be wrong, I'm sure someone on the forum will know the score.

...are you sure I can't use a pair of 813's?...

Thank you, my payment was taken so someone is making money out of the site.
I have raised a dispute with my band to get a refund.

Hi Bob

How long have you been waiting? This is DTECH or maybe Mason Electronics run by Nigel Downing

DTECH are at:
PO Box 26
Belper
Derbyshire
DE56 1YU

I seem to remember DTECH being absolutely fine when I ordered an Arduino UNO from them in 2012 via EBay. I think the zombie website might be the cause of this. The Ebay account is also inactive. Perhaps automated payments are heading for /dev/null ?

Yes it is DTECH, I expect my card bank to refund the payment after a 14 day wait period.
It'a a nusiance because I really wanted the Comtech tx and logic modules. They seem to be non available and I cannot find any othey 23cm kits

Those Comtech units are from 20 years ago! Giles G1MFG did some logic boards CQTV192. https://batc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/cq-tv192.pdf and in the Wiki https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Comtech_module

They are obsolete but there are probably hundreds of them sitting on peoples shelves. Try an ad in the Wanted section?
