Well spotted Terry - but these are the 3.4 GHz ones (which are great for 9 cms, but no good for Es'hail-2).

And £129! when the boxes containing two along with their PSUs were going for £10 last year. The 2.4 GHz ones are rare. Better chances with a pyrojoseph Spectrian unit. 30W rather than 50W but very linear.

Hi Terry

Yes - there are no issues with running this model at 2405 MHz. As I recall, I obtained 15W output with 35dB shoulders on DATV.

Ordered one.
Looks like its -9dbm for full o/p.
thats 0.125mW !!

Will have to bring it into the lab at work and see how it performs at 2.4GHz.

The one I had (claimed working) actually had a blown first stage. It was just a modamp and I simply bypassed it. This means I needed about 1mw of drive, so you might consider doing that if it's too sensitive. I also recall having a similar 2527 amplifier that did not work well at 2320.

When I get it
I will monitor the output and bring the drive up slowly from a signal generator.
linking out the amp actually sounds sensible for circa 0dm i/p.
The ebay units have no heatsinks fitted I wonder how hot it gets.
Probably worthwhile fitting something extra onto the box especially for DTV

From spec sheet it looks like there are feed through terminations for power and also an output for fwd and rev.
Its not obvious from spec sheet I found what signal needs to be applied to CTRL and on/off.
