Just to confirm arrangements; I will be at IO81TK, Bath racecourse and operational by 7.00pm. Since everyone is using vertical for talkback, I will put up a small 3 element beam vertically polarised for talkback, and the 4m TV beam is 3 element horizontal. My mobile is 07378 348 455, WhatsApp ATV south group and I have also just set up a Zello group ATV south - it is open at present, never used Zello before apart from talking to the echo robot, so be patient with me on this one.

Not being aware of any alternative Zello group for the east I have created a group ATV East. Feel free to register; it's uncomplicated to gain access and you can use it for portable ops or just listening to activity weekend chatter.

Zello is a free smart phone app which allows your phone to work like a walkie talkie.

Steve,
Tried looking for ATV East, but can't find it on Zello. Is it open or by invitation?

Hi Shaun,

Yes it's open. Don and Arthur did sign in so should be OK.

Maybe Zello search is case sensitive; ensure East is Capital E.

Last week, I installed Zello on my phone and added ATV south and other channels. I didn't hear anything yesterday. I had assumed that I would get a notification on my phone if there was traffic on the channel. Do you have to have the app and channel open for it to work?

Thanks
Ray

Ray,
You need to have the app. running, the relevent channels turned on and your volume turned up, then you should hear traffic as it occurs.

All sold - the seagulls had them all within an hour!

We will order some more when we next do a PCB order.

Question - should we stock the mixer and PGA103 which seem to be in short supply?
