I know that many of you are having a well-earned rest after the Contest last month, but please don't forget that it is an Activity weekend this weekend. I see that G8DGR and M0DHP are looking for activity on 5.6 GHz and 437 MHz respectively.
Is anyone else planning on going out portable, or will you be available from your home stations?

OK
I will be going to Lane End (IO91JA) near Winchester tomorrow at about 1100 with 437 MHz DATV (only) and 144.75 MHz.
Edit, I ended up at Cheesefoot Head Car Park which is just in IO91JB
The aim of the trip is to work Ray M0DHP who is planning to be at Hannington.

Re: Activity Weekend 14/15 July
Thanks to Dave G8GKQ, my Portsdown / MT combo had a successful first 2-way this morning from Hannington (NW of Basingstoke) to Cheesefoot Head (SW of Winchester). Only 28km but it's a start Great weather but wish I had brought a sun shade - the equipment in the boot was warm, to say the least.
I had the attenuator set for approx 600mW output from the PA to a 7-el yagi. Dave, I think there was probably scope for me to go lower and still get a signal through?
For anyone planning to use the "Hannington 2" location on the UK ATV /P Google Maps map, the verge at the pin is very overgrown (unlike how it looks on Streetview). But there is a gravel lay-about 100m W of it.

A really good morning. I worked M0DHP/P 2-way for his first ever DATV Contact and a one-way to G7JTT at his home QTH. Both on 437 MHz. Short distances but more (Portsdown) activity!
