Friedrichshafen 2018

Post by Mike-G8DLX » Sun May 27, 2018 6:51 pm

Hi. Currently about 2 hours from the show site and aiming for the on site camping tomorrow. I wonder if anyone else is aiming to stop on site. I hope to be at the DATV Forum on Friday.

Er - isn't that just a little bit early? It only really starts on Thursday.

I am staying in Immenstaad where I have stayed before. It's a nice little place, only 30 mins by boat from FN, less by road.

Hi. It is early but I intend looking around the area and using it as a base. Should be easy to get into town on by bike. The show is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There are quite a few on the camping area with aerials set up, I have been working on 6m this evening.

If any members are staying on site pop over & say Hi. I am in a Wildax Panel van Conversion next to the airfield.

BATC will have a stand at HamRadio 2018 (next door to AGAF) with the normal shop items at reduced prices and there will be a limited Portsdown Clinic available.

There is an ATV conference on Friday at 12 noon local time in the Oesterreich Room which will be streamed live on the new BATC website (details to follow):

Bee good to meet as many members as possible.

Hi Folks,

I looked on the Youtube for any videos on Friedrichschafen to play on my show tonight and didn't find much
Is there anyone out there that has video of the event or is there any official BATC footage that could be posted
I doesn't matter if it's a bit raw and suggestions or links gratefully received

Cheers Roger VK5YYY

I have just posted 3 videos from the HamRadio 2018 ATV conference on the BATC youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... RV_wZO0sbW

Apologies for the production and sound quality as it was done using a PC, VMIX and 2 cameras with no audio feed or screen grab capabilities.

Presentations are also available on this wiki page: https://wiki.batc.org.uk/HAM_RADIO_2018
