CAT 16 - Information Pack

Post by G8GKQ » Fri Sep 23, 2016 9:08 am

All Welcome

You are welcome to attend CAT 16 even if you haven't signed-up or are not a BATC Member. Here is some information to help you:

Getting There

Cosford has good motorway access from the M6 southbound (Junction 12) via the A5, and is one mile from junction 3 on the M54 (for northbound travellers).

From the south leave M6 at junction 10a on to the M54
From the north leave M6 at junction 12 and follow A5 west

The Museum has brown and white tourism direction signs labelled 'RAF Museum'. The postcode is TF11 8UP.

Park in the main museum car park. DO NOT PAY FOR PARKING at the parking meter! We will give you a car pass when you sign in to CAT 16.

Walk into the main museum entrance in the low glass-fronted building (The Visitor Centre). Continue straight up the corridor and the Conference Room is on the left. The Museum opens at 10 am on both days.

On entry to the Conference Room, please pay your £10/day at the desk and, in exchange, you will receive a CAT 16 badge and a Parking Pass to put in your car.

Tea and coffee will be served in the Conference Room continuously from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday. This is included in your entrance fee. Lunch is available for purchase from the Museum Restaurants. Please don't forget that we are meeting for an informal dinner at the Ramada Inn Telford Ironbridge on Saturday at 7:30pm; no booking required.

The museum closes promptly at 5pm each day, so please make sure that you leave enough time to see at least some of the exhibits.

If you have heavy equipment to deliver to the Conference Room, please contact Noel G8GTZ or myself for access details.

Looking forward to meeting you all. If you can't make the journey to Cosford, the talks and BGM will be live streamed here:
