Hi all,

I'm trying to get active on 70cm digital. I aquired a Jaybeam 48 ele parabeam some time ago but need some assembly instructions to get the beast in the air. Has anyone got a copy that they can scan and let me have?

Malcolm,
Drop me an email g0ehv@btinternet.com
I have a scan of the instructions, basic but easy to follow. I'll reply with the info.

Hi Malcolm,

Good news - you should be able to work several stations along the South Coast including Colin KLB, Peter PYB, Mike LES and myself - and you maybe able to get in to GB3IV...

Can't help with the Jbeam but if you need anything else, just ask.

And when's GB3TB coming back on - I see you renewed the NoV, so all is not lost :-)

Hi Noel,

well that's the idea..hi. Just realised that it's an 88 element Jaybeam so stand a good chance down the coast !! That's probably why I'd got more bits than in the instructions that Eddie let me have, lol. Still looking if anyone out there can help.

Not given up on GB3TB yet. More sites to look at but nothing sorted yet.

Hi Malcolm,

Many years ago I took down my MBM48, it has moved around many homes and last month I decided to reassemble it.
However, I have lost the boom in one of the moves!
I can make a new one, but need the distance between the holes for securing the elements.
Can you measure the spacing of the holes on the boom before yours goes back up?

Presently I am just getting going again with ATV (Retired now); started with 23cms, but would like to do 70 cms as well.
The Jbeam was last used when I was G8ELQ (and before that G6ADT/T).... I recently got back on the air with KK6JPN
