Post by G8TVW » Thu Jun 28, 2012 8:48 pm

I'm looking for T-Bar video faders like the one shown below. Does anyone know where I may be able to obtain any? Thanks.

I have, the price for 1 to 5 off is £147.00 each plus packing and carriage at £25.00 = £172, and that probably doesn't include VAT!

Dave.

Hello Dave,

Yes Digikey sell them for a similar price, it is probably cheaper looking for a mixer on eBay and salvaging the part.
I was thinking of designing a video mixer. I think I will stick to a PC GUI, not quite the same but a lot cheaper.

Yes. Trevor Brown recommended that I go for a GVG 100 Video Control Panel. There was one on ebay for £80 but it had some push button caps missing.

Yes, I guess it would be cheaper but you don't get the 'feel' of a hardware mixer that way. I have thought about making one but can't decide how best to do it. RS used to stock a much cheaper fader but, alas, no longer. :(

Regards,

Dave.
